It happened on Thurs night and I broke down on the 407, westbound at Hurontario - on the LEFT shoulder! (silver wagon). When it stalled, it was the tail end of rush hour, so traffic was still slow. But the traffic very quickly started to pick up speed again, so I was getting pretty worried.
Queensway would have been closer, but it's really far from my home (I live in Markham), so I had it towed to Thornhill at Yonge and Steeles.
Thanks for the info on the parts costs, but I already paid them to do the service. As much as I'd like to be a DIY guy, there are too many visual check type inspections and I really don't know everything that I should be looking for. Besides, for warranty reasons (I'm extended to 120,000km) it would be safer if there was official documentation that the service was done by a dealer.
I just picked it up at noon today and it definitely drives better after the service. Let's hope this keeps up...
