TCS allows both tires to spin, but not just one...

I have noticed similar issue with TCS. As long as both front tires are spinning, no TCS light and no TCS intervention with throttle.
But if only one is spinning, the light comes on, the engine speed drops to idle (regardless of throttle position) and the manual says the brakes are activated to slow the spinning tire.
If I don't release the throttle, the whole scenario happens again as soon as one wheel loses traction. Can be irritating. Forces you to back off the juice even if the slippery road surface is limited to a 3 foot wide stop bar or narrower yet pedestrian crossing stripe.
