You mean the serpentine belt pulley? The only one

that is replaceable on the V6 engine is the tensioner pulley. The 9-5 V6 doesn't have an idler pulley like the 4 cyl. All other pulleys that the belt runs over is the alternator, power steering pump, A/C compressor and water pump.

The NG900 V6 though on the other hand had an idler pulley and a tensioner pulley.

The serpentine belt is not really an easy DIY job on the V6 since the big upper motor mount arm has to be unbolted from engine, and engine supported from below with a floor jack or some other type of support.

The good part though is that the plastic tensioner pulley on the V6 seems to be a lot better than the idler pulleys on the 4 cyl engine.

My recommendation (and Saabs) is to replace the serpentine belt and tensioner pulley at the 60K service since they are removed anyway to get access to the timing belt. That way you don't have to spend any extra money on labor, just parts.
