Need some quick advice--

Have been pondering the idea of getting a certified SAAB in place of mine that is coming off warranty in less than 5,000 miles. I am honestly too afraid to own a SAAB without warranty.

I am helping a friend buy a replacement for her '97 Integra, and I took her to the Mazda store to check out the new Mazda 3. Holy hell, we both fell in love! What an amazing vehicle: xenon headlights, dvd navagation, 6 disc in dash CD player, audio controls on steering wheel, telescoping/tilt wheel, tire pressure monitoring system, 17" alloy wheels, 8 airbags (dual front, side, side curtains), select all this in the 4 door hatch form, the price is just barely over $22,000! Considering replacing the 9-5 with this, I'd only owe about $3,000 on the Mazda since my SAAB is paid off. What really pushes me (besides all the amazing-for this-class features) is the 4 year 50,000 mile warranty, bumper to bumper.

Now is this completely stupid to replace a 9-5 with a Protege replacement? Is it just me or is this one heck of a value?

What will I be gaining/losing? Think this is wise???
