In the March 2004 issue, Car and Driver recently noted that the new TL has "...peculiar suspension tuning. The car is simultaneously firm yet springy, and the front suspension felt as if it were topping out over certain road crests, whereupon it would produce a big weave as it touched back down."

Futhermore, they wrote, "We also experienced some twitchy head-tossing motions on bumpy surfaces from the TL's spring and anti-roll bar interactions. Acura engineers obviously sought a compromise between ride comfort and body-motion control, and the side effect is some spooky rough-road responses."

One tester complained that the TL's brakes felt weak during high-spirited driving.

Sounds like Acura has some tweaking to do...

Another downside of owning a TL in the metro NYC area is that the xenon lights are a security nightmare: punks like to steal these lights and put 'em into their Accords. Although this might not be as much of a problem with the new TL (maybe, maybe not?), it's certainly been a problem with the '99-'04 model.

Same with the Infiniti I30 (I35?) and the new Maxima with xenons, I wouldn't want to park one of those at a NYC-area suburban shopping mall.

Knock on wood(!), SAABs are somewhat exotic/oddball and everyday thieves don't bother with them (that was my experience with my '88 9000T, and my dad's experience with an Audi in the late '70s)
