Hi,

I owned a Toyota Corolla wagon for 11 years before I purchased the 2002 9-5 Aero. I looked at this purchase from many angles since reliability and maintenance costs were two of my biggest concerns. I plan on keeping this car for 12-15 years. In the end, I realized that this Saab might not be as reliable as my trusty Corolla, but its reliability over the long run is not that far off. Look into Consumer Reports and JD Powers for youself. The cost of maintaining this Saab will be higher (premium fuel, performance tires, Saab parts, and labor) than my Corolla, but I cannot tell you how much joy and comfort I get out of this car. My half hour commute each morning and afternoon is effortless. No more sore backs! My 350 mile trip to Southern CA over the weekend was a blast not to mention comfortable. To me, the positives far outweigh the negatives. If Saab is the car you want, you will enjoy the car while spending a little more.

By the way, I have only 21k on my car but I have not spent any money on this car except for gas, oil, and wax.
