Ended up bringing the car to Saab of Westport. Turns out the oil is actually two quarts low. Thought I checked it right, but was with my friend and we were talking the whole time...so I may not have payed close attention to it.
So it's two quarts low...and there's no sign of any leaks or anything burning. As I said, dealer just did my 10k mile service before I left and all fingers point to the fact that they didn't put enough oil in the car. Also, pcv update was done at that service.
This pretty much sucks....just drove over 2k miles...two quarts low, and it was my lifter ticking for sure. Dealer put in more oil and it went away. Could this have caused any long term problems for my car? I'm pretty bummed out right now and I'm just wondering what's going to happen next now. 11,600 miles on the car and I'm not sure what to do. Please....any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
