OK. I agree with that statement too. Hey, even I bought Nokian H-rated for my 9-5 winter driving, but that's only because I couldn't find a Snowflake rated tire in V.
I have looked on a few tire websites and the general consensus is that you should always choose a replacement tires with the same or higher speed rating as OEM…"given today's sophisticated suspensions and ABS braking systems". Some even go to say that in emergency situations, your car can handle unpredictably with a lower speed rating.
I guess I could use a lesson or two, but I know my 9-5 came with V-rated tires so given the choice, I'd avoid H-ratings, with the exception of winter driving where other factors come into play.
