I do tow occasionally (1912 Ford Model T) and offroad on occasion as well. With gas prices going up, I was ready to make my next tow vehicle the Toureg Diesel. However the latest word I got was that no diesel coming anytime soon to California and probably the rest of the U.S. will follow. Thanks to the evironmental wackos, the facts about the new diesels are not being processed. They are not the polluters they once were, they have lots of power and you get more miles to the gallon. Once agin the masses suffer due to the few with the most pull.
