From what I've been able to pick up off various boards/threads about this, there are two (2) three (3) volt lithium cells in the module. I'd have to wait until I get mine apart to know the exact physical dimensions of the current batteries but I had no problem whatsoever finding 3 volt lithium cells on the web. They are a common type identified as CR-2 and Panasonic as well as Energizer sell them, available for delivery off the web for about $19.
Even if the OEM cells are wierd in size, I can be pretty creative to solve problems like this. I mean, let's face it, I could even install an external 6 volt battery of any type and wire it into the module if I had to and replace it every year if needed (though not my preferred solution).
