Loss of neck snapping acceleration....

My 2000lpt has 106,800 miles but I question whether the gradual loss of neck snappping acceleration off the line can all be attributed to just the accumulated miles. I vividly remember when I would have to disable the Sport mode in traffic jam situations because the car would jump so quickly on light application of throttle. I also remember reading somewhere that Saab uses an "over injection" of fuel into the engine when accelerating from a stop to compensate for "turbo-lag" because engine and turbo aren't yet spinning fast enough to produce appreciable boost.
So now for my questions.
1) Is it possible the injectors are wearing out (electro-mechanical devices) and no longer capable of producing the quick blast of fuel when commanded by the Trionic system?
2) Is it possible the fuel pressure regulator is no longer creating enough fuel rail pressure to allow for the quick blast?
3) Is there another component (possibly in the turbo system) that could have worn (i.e. the apc controller) causing this problem?
I regularly add Techron to keep fuel system clean and have no turbo smoke.
Thanks for any and all advise.
