Many Canadian refineries use MMT (a manganese-based fuel additive blended during refining, not the deposit control additive injected at the distribution terminal) as a cost-effective octane booster. However, MMT has been implicated in catalyst fouling, particularly in late model Hondas. If this could be you, look for a brand that minimizes the use of MMT (i.e. Chevron in BC).
