Braking Vibration

My Aero has significant vibration when braking hard above 50mph. This was really horrid with the Sumitomo HTR+ tires, which expired this past week (no doubt partly due to said vibration). It's better with the Conti ContactExtremes just mounted, but not gone. So tires aren't the culprit. Car had its 60K service during the past week and service advisor noted that brake wear was symmetrical, rotors appeared unwarped, all in order.
Vibration doesn't seem to be there without braking, so balance and/or BBC wheels out of round don't seem likely culprits. Front-end alignment is nearly perfect, under straight running, acceleration, braking.
Obviously, something's not in order. I inspected the brake pads (EBCs) myself and the wear seems to be even.
Another factoid: I had a "close encounter" with a curb in deep slush conditions over the winter. Dented my left front BBC, which Wheels of America repaired beautifully several days thereafter. Could this encounter have also damaged hub/rotor, in a manner not readily visible to an experienced service tech, nor impacting handling other than braking?
Any ideas? I don't want premature tire wear due to a problem elsewhere. Is the service advisor mistaken w/r/t the rotors?
