I just paid about $345 for the 60000 mile on my '99 9-3 and about the same for the 90000 service on my '91 9000 CD. I went to an indie who specializes in Saab and is very good. I could have driven to a small town Saab dealer that is about 120 miles away and paid maybe a little moore but I didn't have the time. I am sure the local big city Saab dealer would be closer to $800 (I know they wanted $850 for front brakes at 30000 miles on my 9-5 but to be fair it didn't need new brakes so you may have to adjust the price). If you go to a dealer in a big city you are going to pay big labor costs plus some other costs that youi may not really need to pay. Over the years I have found the big city dealers to be about twice the cost of the little town dealer and the indie. Of course both the little town dealer and the indie are better mechanics and do a better job at least in my city. With all these cars in my family I have to keep a close eye on costs.
FYI the Indie and the small town dealer charge $60 an hour for labor and the Indie charged three hours labor for each car. He also has the software etc.
