I can understand replacing the timing belt tensioner and pulleys as preventative maintenance during belt change-out at 60k, given the instant damage that would likely occur as soon as they go out. But why do the water pump, thermostat, and cam/crank seals at the same time? If they fail, it doesn't result in catastrophic damage (unless one tries to drive through the steam or oil puddles). Seems it might be better (read: financially efficient) to wait until they fail before replacing, or am I missing something on Saab V6s? I have an '03 Arc, ad 60k will be here late next summer.
