I have a 2000 Aero and a 1999 V70 without the turbo. I just bought the V70 used with 60,000 miles. My decision was based on the simple fact that there aren't many 9-5 wagons out there used. Our V70 is a softer ride with softer steering that is easier to drive around town when you just want to get to point A from point B. It does lack some of the features of the Aero that start to bug us, but Saab is getting rid of these as well (heated rear seats, back-up tilt on passenger mirror, etc). I also find the 1999 volvo cup holders not as functional as the Saab. I would also say that because there are many more optional choices on the V70 you should really pay attention to these small details (e.g., winter package, etc.).
