$25,900 for a 2003 Aero, especially a wagon, is a steal. I'm still getting calls about our CPO 2003 for $29,900 that was sold. Is it Certified? Probably not at that price, but still a real steal. Get it checked out at a dealer before purchase. A 2003 Aero is the perfect year with shift paddles on the Sentronic autos
There are lots of nice looking cars of every brand that are theft recoveries or worse still salvage titles, odometer issues, major bodywork, consumer buybacks and other problems. Those are the kinds of issues you avoid with a Certified Saab, plus you get the warranty extension to 6 years and 100k. The figure you quote alerts my BS meter as it's so close to what a dealer might pay.
Saab resale has risen to the "average" category according to Consumers Reports for example. Audi A6s, Infinity Qs and Ms, Volvo S80s, Acura RLs are just a few of the less popular cars with similar or worse resale. All were sold with heavy incentives when new. BMWs and MBZs can point to a better *percentage* of resale value because the tend to trade somewhat closer to MSRP, but the actual dollar deprecitation may actually be more, and a 5 or an E class will run you an extra $10k+ when new or $15-20k for a V8 with the comparable power and torque of an Aero
So "generally not so great" is a feeling everyone gets when the sell a one year year old car, which is a plus for a buyer like you.
