9-5 Spark Plugs Change Posted by Doug [Email] (#3538) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Doug) on Mon, 21 Jun 2004 17:27:15 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I have a 99 9-5 wagon that I bought crashed for $2200 with almost 90k on it and have spent the last six months rebuilding it for my college attending daughter. This is my 3rd Saab and I have grown to continue to be amazed at how "smart" they are. After repairing the body and air bag components I have been driving the car and making sure it is roadworthy for the last 4000 miles. This weekends project was replacing the accessory belt and pulleys and spark plugs. I put in new NGK PCPR6ES replacing PFR6H 10's that were in pretty good but well used shape. The old plugs gapped at .035-.040 and looked OK but WOW what a difference. Changing the plugs is like having a new car, it is much more responsive, spins the tires on demand and is a joy. As I said these cars continue to amaze me!
