Ian,
have you got a source of information for field/emergency replacement of the DI? Is it plug and play, or more complicated to replace?
I am just entering the end of the warranty (79000km or 49000 miles), although I did buy the three-year dealer extension which will likely cover me. My local SAAB parts guy will sell me a new DI at 15% discount (ca. $600 Canadian), and I would like to figure out if it makes sense to buy the new one as my spare, and then eventually change it when I reach 130000km or 80,000 miles.
And do you think it would be reasonable to buy a crank position sensor as a spare?
Your opinion would be appreciated.
