His was/is a Pontiac Grand Am. He bought it new (actually ordered it to his specs) and had it delivered to him with nearly zero miles. He has been finding tiny pieces of broken glass in the rear seat and trunk area for the past two years!
Since it is tempered glass, the pieces represent no real safety hazzard. The Dealership has been unable to explain where the glass came from and insists the vehicle was not damaged during the brief time they had possession. My only guess is that the rear window was broken during transit and the auto hauler (who actually has title of the car from the time it leaves the door of the Assembly Plant to the time it is delivered to the Dealership) had a lousy glass repair company on retainer. No air or water leaks, but a steady occurence of glass fragments (2 or 3) at each interior cleaning for 24 months and counting.
Frustrating, but no clear answer.
