Uhm, yes, if you replace the pads ... NOW ... and replace them woth pads having a less abrasive compound. A lot of people like EBC GreenStuff, other people have found ceramic composite pads to be beneficial. As a side benefit to not tearing up the rotors (you can see the difference - the rotors get a smooth, shiny look, not the dull machined look that the OE pads impart), you also get a lot less dust happening.
