Search for 'short belt' and read away. You do not need the lower idler wheel at all, as the Saab bullentin points out. Saab is discontinuing the old belt so thats the way it is going to be. With the short belt, folks have been getting aftermarket belts for $18-$20 range and also saving the cost and PIA of replacing the lower idler.

I would not obsess about belts made by continental. One belt failure does not represent the quality of a company. But, you will not find those belts at the local parts store.

When you read you will find lengths and part numbers. I was wanting to see the official length of the new belt, as there has been much discussion of such things.
