For some reason Saabs have always had poor resale value. They certainly are a great value for the money. I have owned a 2000 9-5 wagon with the 2.3 4 cylinder, and love it! It now has 69k miles on it (48k when I bought it in Sept of 03). I have performed oil changes and the 60k service (belts, fluids, filters) and that's all it's needed. I would recommend the car highly. It gets 28mpg on the highway, and can swallow as much cargo as an SUV, while looking a lot better and handling way better too! I say go for it!
