Is their a way to tell if car has orginial DI installed

About a week or 2 ago i purchased a "nearly" new DI for my 2000 aero which just turned 95k miles. The guy lost all power in his 9-5 so he bought a new DI, but the problem was the ecu not DI so i got it off him for $175. It has been sitting in the trunk ever since. I have changed my mind 100 times on whether i should switch it out or wait for the existing one to fail. Than i read and did some search about how you could lose you cat conv if the DI fails on the interstate (85% of my driving). But since i purchased the car out of state with 55k miles my local dealer can not tll me if the DI is orginial.

So the point, how can i tell if orginial?

Also, bought the car out of Mass. and all services up until i bought it were performed at a dealer with a stamp stated "Authorized Saab Dealer 2101" Anyone how which dealer this is or how to determine dealership from stamp#?
