planet, pretty much sums up my opinion of our first saab, an '03 aero sw.
Lately, I have given thought to the 'new' cars coming down the pike, specifically the magnum rt. so what if it has 350bhp. Mine has 250bhp, and I can still get 30+mpg on the hwy. the mangum can not. Also, I will not have to park mine for the winter, because it is rwd with monster-truck wide tires, like the magnum.
I know of no other wagon, that combines SAFETY, speed, handling, comfort, space, utility (even though you disagree) and mpg for the price I paid. I receive DAILY compliments for how cool the car looks.
BMW's? paid too much, to much in vogue.
Audi? I love vw/audi's, and will always have one of those.
MB? the ultimate would be an E-class cdi 4matic wagon with a 5spd manual.
Import an alfa wagon, and that would be HIGH on my list.
Domestic? Forget about it.
Japanese? Only the Legacy GT wagon floats my boat, along with a MUCH more powerful Mazda 6 wagon.
Volvo? please...
This will not be my last Saab. My aim is for 500K miles.
buy Saab, get out & drive, and enjoy life.
To steal Jae's line...cheers
