There are lots of reports of mice damage. Any bird seed stored in the garage perhaps? Things get bad in the fall when the mice seek a winter home. A nice garage with a suppy of bird seed is preferred. I just picked up some poison mice bars to put in the garage and other places around the exterior of the house that can provide shelter or cover for mice.

With any sign of mice under the hood, yoy need to inspect the engine air intake filter. A air box makes a nice nest and the paper filter can be chewed up for material. A wire gauze K&N type filter is chew-proof. I don't know if they could get at the cabin air intake filter on these vehicles. I had a mouse nest once in the squirrel cage blower on a GM car once. Vehicle was winter stored. Did a mid winter warmup and the heater was shaking the whole dash.
