One of the local owners experienced similar symtoms with his 99 9-5. He fixed it by cleaning out the TB. Sounds like something that you could probably do - remember to document the process (as you always do with pictures) for the technically challenged folks (like me 8-) ).
Hope that it has NOTHING to do with the Stage 1 upgrade.
