...for this information, Mike. You've been more helpful than anyone else has been so far...at least you've provided some sort of direction.
I've actually been nothing but very polite, pleasant and understanding (to a point) with everyone. I have gotten some cold responses though...seems very "textbook" if you know what I mean. I think I will give it this next 1000 miles and if they make me do it again, I'm finally going to raise a stink and try to get in touch with Saab Factory Service Rep.
It's very frustrating to buy a car after I had researched a bunch of autos for a long time and finally made the plunge to buy the one that's rated a very reliable automobile compared to it's competitors in the european market, and not to mention, my first brand new car, and then having absolutely nothing but headaches with it, more headaches than any used car I've ever had. When it's running fine and there's no problems, I love it. But, I can't even go for a roadtrip that's more than 500 miles each way because I'll be breaking my "instructions" for this series of "tests" and would have to start fresh again if I didn't meet their requirements. Personally, I think it's a bit rediculous. It's burning oil period, they see that, it's been burning it for 8500 miles now and they still have done nothing about it.
Sorry to rant on again about this, just so very fed up with the situation. If it was a "hey, let's see what happens in 2500 miles" or something, great...but this car has a history of mass oil loss over an extended period of time, almost 1/2 the actual milage of the car. If it had 40k miles on it, I'd be even more understanding. Just seems like this should be more of a priority item to me.
Thanks again for the advice, I'll let you know what happens.
Regards!
