The room, in a "Colonial House". At better than $200 per night they put us up in this hovel that they claim is an authentic recreation of 1760's life. What it was was a small dirty room with a leaking toilet, peeling paint, and the worst bed I ever slept in.
The dinner. We had to wait 1 hour to see if the people with reservations showed up. All this time there where empty tables in the restaurant. The food was terible and at more than $100 for the 2 of us seemed a bit pricey for the 1700's. It would have been nice if we could have gone to the other restaurant but the menu there was unapetizing.
I don't want to come down hard on the employees. All the people there were very nice and very into the experiance. It just wasn't what we imagined from viewing their web site, which is very well done and lends an air of class to the place. We just got put off right from the start and bailed that next morning. (Breakfast was very good, with the best decaf coffee on the whole trip, and if I am reading the bill correctly, only $39)
