9-5 is a beautiful classic, but

I agree the 9-5 is a beauty, Looking at our freshly washed steel grey 9-5, with lovingly peanut oiled trim, I was telling myself just that. The lines are very well proportioned and the design still looks fresh after some 8 years. Unfortunately, car manufacturers, amongst others, have accustomed folks to fast changing «new» designs and this more than anything else I think, explains the regressing sales of the 9-5. Personally, I think it will take more than slapping on a 9x front facia to get things going. Seems like Jetplate has seen the 2006. I'm curious to know if he thinks the MCE will be sufficient to regenerate the sales of the 9-5. Audi, for one, has pulled it off a few times with there cars. As for a totally new 9-5, it has been announced for 2008 but no decision seems to have been taken as to it's characteristics. I would imagine something would have leaked if the platform it will be built from had been chosen.
