You got it all..... Posted by Mike Lynch [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Feedback - '04 9-5 Aero Deal - MikeLynch help, Tim, Thu, 4 Nov 2004 21:29:50 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
So they're giving you $2,530 off the sticker, $44,280 - $41,750 = $2,530, and the $7k, the current incentive, I believe your getting it all.
I think the $10.5 off, let's keep the Loyalty seperate, probably had some special circumstances attached to it, an undesireable color, or a demo, or a GM discount or some catch like that.
A low residual and a competitive payment is a win-win. The lower the buyout/residual, the better the chance you might have some equity at termination time. Likely at the 45% of MSRP level your old lease turn wasn't such a good buy.
The lease acquistion fee is a non negotiable $595. It's an institutionalized part of the leasing game. BMW is $525 but going to $625 Jan 1, I believe Mercedes is $795. Many dealers mark up the acquistion fee a couple of hundred bucks. Your dealer is being straight with you.
This late in the model year what's left is more loaded cars. I'm suprised they have a popular choice like steel gray and not one of the more oddball colors like hazelnut, glacier blue or expresso black. Out West here there are virtually no "no option" cars. I do happen to have one of them, a black/tan Aero automatic that I snapped up last month when I saw it was the only no option car availible.
I feel strongly that the xenons and touring package is good stuff for cheap. I'm less enthused about the vented seats, I have them in my Aero, but I don't live in hot weather and I don't wear a suit. I have many customers who swear by them. In BMW's for example the premium package is $3,100 plus anothe $700 for xenons, and you have to spend really big bucks for a car with vented seats, so an extra $2,300 for the ultimate in 9-5 Aero equipment ain't too bad including vented seats that you can't get in any other brand in this price range.
