by Saab for deeper snow conditions. I have used the P196/65R15 size for the past three winters here in Michigan (I also got my steelies and covers from Tire Rack), but run P225/VR16's in summer.
The 15's are less expensive, do better in deep snow, and are fine for dry roads also at any reasonable highway speed. Saab uses "Minus 1 Sizing" with 16-inch Aero snow tires, no reason to not do the same with 15-inch snows on the Base and SE models if you wish.
Your money and your choice.
