Both are in the same viscosity range at operating temperature.
The 5W- will pump up a bit more rapidly at -30 C, but that isn't likely to be a major consideration where you live.
I doubt very much if you would be able to tell the difference between them in actual use. Pick one, and use the same viscosity all year long. Then you won't have to worry about whether you have the right one in the garage/basement/trunk.
