that is a nice chart.

I'm curious though why you change the ATF as frequently as you do. Have you thought about extending the mileage. Also, I notice you're changing the oil every 8K, do you feel you're getting your money's worth?

You list front brake pads at $150 ($149.50 to be exact). Mine were less than $40 (US). I noticed your rear brake pads were more reasonably priced.

I also have a 99 9-5 SE V6.

My problems have been water pump ($55), power steering pump ($75 used), front and rear brake pads ($100), fuel tank (SAAB), fuel filler neck(SAAB), timing belt tensioner pulley ($250 + 150 labor), 2 front tires 17in ($250, I know the dearler personally), and now the blower motor). My insurance is only $2200 (I have teenage driver).

I've been lucky as I have been able to do the work (with exception of timing belt).

I do agree with you that SAABs seem expensive to operate. I think in part because some of the parts are poor quality, i.e. power steering pump, water pump, blower motor, and tensioner pulley. On other cars I've owned, these parts have lasted years longer.

Oh well, at the end of the day, it's a sweet sweet car. I think it is true that if you drive one, you very well may end up buying one. That's what happened to me.
