It's just too short. I don't have any claims or accidents, but apparently my Canadian driving experience of 4+ years is too short for qualify for better premiums. It goes down a bit every year, but it's still high. And I have a new driver on the policy too. I do a lot of insurance shopping at every renewal, and keep finding the lowest rates with Motors Insurance (a GMAC company). My employer has a group plan with The Personal too, but they quoted me higher.
You can find some feedback about the official dealers in Toronto in the earler posts. Apparently, the best mechanic in town works for Queensway, and I heard some good feedback about Thornhill from the folks at the owner's club. On the other hand, they both are expensive, and I know people (myself included) who had rather spotty experience with all three Saab dealers in Toronto. I wish I knew a good indy north of Steeles. I go to Beacon for the stuff I can't do myself despite the long commute. Apparently GB Autos are good too, but I understand they mostly specialize in older Saabs (they are on Renforth, south of 401).
