On a return trip from Phila. to the Boston area a few months ago my '99 9-5 V-6 (59,000 miles at the time) acted much like I imagine a bucking bronco would act.
Anyway, the issue/problem made itself known most especially when the accelerator was depressed between 40-60 mph. The best I can describe it is when I pressed the accelerator the car would buck back and forth as if it were not receiving the instruction I was sending it (accelerate, please).
No CELs or other illuminated warnings.
