Glad to hear your experience, and you're fortunate.
I have the same setup but did get stuck in the Finger Lakes region once, veering the nose of the car just inches off a snow covered driveway and unable to reverse. The grip wasn't there to back up over the soft base, though I was able to gun it down an incline forward, make a sweeping turn, and with the momentum get back over the crest and onto the driveway again. It wasn't precisely what I was expecting out of the tires in a pinch but in general, you're right--I suppose the 3's did help me out of there. I used to have Nokias on my old 9000CD and still marvel at how they got me out of a Buffalo area blizzard that beached the region's largest tow truck (a 40-footer) right next to me. . . .
