First, make sure that the SID display is showing the date on the display. If that is not showing, the instructions in the manual will not work. Press and hold the clear button in for about 8-10 seconds, or until you hear a chime,then continue to hold it in till the message cleared appears.
That being said, if you find that the intervals that are programmed into your car are not the same ones you actually intend to use for routine service, do as I did on both my 9-5's. Have it connected to a tech 2 and have the tech set the interval to 150,000 miles,which is the maximum.A lot less hassle this way.
