To do a full software download it takes at least 1/2 hour due to very slow data transfer rate from Tech 2 to the cars computer.
When resetting the limp home mode on your cars throttle they first have to read and reset the fault codes that are stored in the computer. This is a different and much quicker procedure than a software download.
