Hey gang,

I recently transferred to LA from Boston, and shipped both my Saabs via a car shipping service. The MC yellow convertible is fine, but the '03 Aero wagon came off the truck, and what I saw astonished me. The entire hood of the car had been REPAINTED... and incredibly poorly. The badge was missing too. I screamed at the guy who dropped it off, asking what had happened and he was the local guy who knew nothing. Nothing like "welcome to LA" on your second day here and having to deal with this crap.

I'm not sure what happened during the transit, but either they dropped something on the hood, scratched it badly, or another car leaked something caustic onto the hood and they tried to cover up their issue. The paint job is so crappy too...dirt marks, drips on the side, and body shop wet sanding stuff in the windshield washers.

I'm going to file a claim, because I find this to be completely unbelieveable, but my biggest concern is that when they picked up the cars in Boston, it was dark, and the guy wrote down "unable to inspect, too dark" though I told him it was a 12K mile car that was immaculate.

Has anyone else experienced this?? I will take them to small claims court for this, if I have to. I want the hood repainted properly and I'm sure there are MANY body shops in LA that do a superb, "Beverly Hills" quality job.

Any thoughts? I will tell everyone on this list do NOT USE A Plus Auto shippers, if you end up being referred to them by one of the major shipping companies. Apparently they all contract out to whatever truck is closest.
