Aero Lady is partly correct that the 2002 Linear adopted some of the suspension settings and components of the previous year's Aeros, but the 17 inch tires and wheels make a significant difference in how the car handles,and in myopinion, that is whay I agree with you that the aero is better, if that is the type of ride that you want. Not being able to paddle shift a 2002 Linear is fine with me. The sport mode makes the paddle shift gimmick a waste of time anyway. also, as you mentioned, the fact that the aero sits a half inch lower is also a big enhancement to handling. It is correct though that the 2000/2001 Aero shocks and springs did make their way into the 2002 Linear.
