You do not have to go where you bought the car Posted by adl6009 [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Re: Is the warrantee really worth it?, awg, Tue, 11 Jan 2005 19:17:03 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
My car was a cpo and right in the contract it says "We will pay the charge to rent a replacement VEHICLE or pay for public transportation up to $30 per day and a maximum of $150 per repair visit if..." Nowhere in the agreement I have are you required to use any particular dealer. Please note, as I read the rest of the agreement, you will not qualify for a loaner or rental unless the repair will take longer than 2 hours or cause the vehicle to be inoperable and kept overnight in a repair facility.
There is an interesting sentence in another section. Under "What this agreement covers" The last sentence reads "To be covered, any FAILURE must be repaired at a Saab Dealer/Retailer or a commercial repair facility of YOUR choice." I could be wrong, but as I read it you can have your local indy do the work. Wouldn't that put a little fire under some of those less than stellar service departments?
