Replaced my '03 Arc's a couple months ago

Arrived at Oakland airport at midnight from an out-of-town mid-November trip, drizzling of course. My '03 Arc (October '02 build date) wouldn't crank. I had it jumped by the parking lot folks (Saab call center was sending someone also), and drove 45 minutes home. Next morning it still wouldn't crank. A two-year lifespan of the OEM battery is fairly consistent with my new car experience. I elected to replace with a battery I had more confidence in (Sears DieHard International series, 700 CCAs, about $100), but believe I could have had it replaced under warranty. Chose to replace at my own cost for added confidence (have always done that in the past). After about 10 more such trips, I've had no more starting problems, so I'm sure its not a short somewhere.
