Thanks Mike.
I'm not positive, but I believe my over mileage charge is only 15 cents/mimle, but that would still be $5850. When I leased the car I got the GM employee discount, incentives, and the lease interest rate was nearly zero, so my lease payment with nothing down is about $360/monthf for 3 years. If I would have bought the car then, I would have been paying much higher interest, so that's why I leased instead of bought then.
A few questions: Why would a new lease payment be $700? Would they include the over mileage charge in that?
I understand when you say return it and pay the miles if the car is worth less that the over mileage charge (and I assume get a new 9-5), but what do you mean by "trade it" if the car is worth more than the over mileage charge? If I traded it I would still have to pay the over miles charge, right? Do you mean "buy it back" at the end of the lease in this case?
Thanks again.
