Just a update on "blue smoke". On the '99 95SE sedan with LPT, I just received a new turbo. I purchased it two months ago, with a long rap sheet of repairs.T he car has ~48Kmiles, it had three instances of blue smoke in the last 2K miles. The dealership did a pre-inspections and declared it healthy. They did replace oil with Castrol Syntec 5W30 at 45,500. This is the second 95, I own that had turbo go bad after Castrol Syntech was used in it for short time. In the 2000 wagon the milage was 36000. I don't know if this is coincidence or a incompatibility. But maybe someon will benefit form the news.

Thank God for little favors, I bought extended warranty that has just paid itself off.

New Turbo, cracked transmission seal at driveshaft, busted engine mount, busted key transceiver, bad trunk lifters, missing pixels in SID. They will not pay for the key. I still love the car...especially compared to the 92x loaner I got to drive last couple of days.
