This has happened on both windows of 88 900T too. I have found that lubing can be a short term fix. In both cases, what actually failed was the spring on the window regulator mechanism. Without it acting as a counter balance, the motor really has to work to raise the windows. Eventually, the gear in the motor itself will wear as well as the large gear on the window regulator.
