OK, I've done the various things to find the source of the problem. It appears that the 'Central Locking System' may be the culprit. I think this since if I put the Multi-meter between the disconnected ground cable and the negative battery post and pull fuses the meter goes from 120.x down to 90.x (+/-)when I pull the Central Locking fuse. I'm not sure what the 120.x and 90.x are (milliamps, ???, the meter's dial has 200"upside down U symbol" - if this is milliamps then even 90 is way too high???

Any way, when I lock the car (windows down) the meter falls from the 120 range to the 90 range. This appears to be repeatable but not everytime. Both door locks and the trunk lock activate both ways (they lock when they should and unlock when they should with no apparent sluggishness.

Any suggestions as to the cure, I hate having to charge the battery all the time - TIA
