the ball joint body (the box-shaped portion) to the control arm? If so, here's what I did: Cut off remaining bolt, flush with control arm surface, using grinder & Dremel tool (to get really close w/o nicking up the arm).
First, try using a heavy punch on the bolt - it helps to dimple the bolt stub w/ a drill, first. Second, if this fails, cut off the bolt head as well, pry the individual "arms" of the control arm apart w/ a peice of pipe, and wiggle the BJ body out.
Good luck, it can be done!
