I'm not sure if it's the same for your '85 as it is for my '87, but mine is just in front of my left knee when I'm driving (left hand drive car). I got pinned upside-down under my steering wheel fiddling with it several months ago -- if you really want to play with it, you should either remove the driver's seat or have someone handy to pull you out if you slide in that way.

There's a plastic duct for the heater down there, and if you remove the screw that holds the end of it, you can flex the duct down out of the way. The overpressure switch is above that duct, and has two wires and a vac hose coming out of it. It's a royal pain to reach it.

Testing it is easy, and you might want to do that first, before you go looking for it. Find the vacuum hose that goes from under the intake manifold back to the cockpit. That's the same hose that connects to your boost gauge. Plug the side going to the engine, and put a handpump on the line. With the engine off, you should be able to pump that line and see the result on your turbo gauge -- see if you can pump it up to near the top of the boost gauge. Bleed off that pressure, then start the engine, then slowly pump up the pressure again, and when you reach somewhere up into the redzone boost area, the engine should suddenly die as the fuel pump is cut off. If it does, your overpressure switch works, and you'll get an idea of where your boost limit is set.
