There are only a couple of remote starting systems out there that are setup to work with M.T. cars. Avital, Clifford and Viper are the only ones I've seen. I have an Avital Alarm in my SPG with the remote starter (Q-Link) system. When I installed the alarm I took the lead that was supposed to go to the neutral switch in an auto tranny and stuck it to a constant ground. I just have to remember to leave the car in neutral whenever I know that I will be unable to make it out of the house and turn the key by hand. I think I've used the feature less than a dozen times in two years, and these systems only work on a perfectly tuned car. These systems are set up to operate the starter for a maximum of 5 seconds. They don't push the accelerator, they don't listen to what the motor is doing, and they don't take the place of a human operating the car. Car Audio and other magazines mock these things constantly, and if I were to have it all to do over again I would have saved my $800.00 and put it into something that didn't save me from getting off the couch. Personal preference I guess.
